During Value Education Program students made little peace flags with a message behind it. The students gave it to people with whom they had an issue. The activity worked well. Students could resolve their issues through this activity. They made very meaningful and beautiful little flags. It also said “sorry” to some whom they had hurt feelings. Some children find it difficult to say sorry even though they are wrong. This activity let them come up with an innovative idea with certain subtlety to say “Let’s be friends again”. Peace is not an end it is a way and the best way to approach peace is through peaceful means. As Mahatma Gandhi says” There is no way to peace. Peace is the way”. Children learn best when they are in non threatening situation. According to Child’s Right Commission (CRC), being in safe and peaceful surrounding is one of their rights not a favor.
