QUIZ KIDS!

The Inter-house Quiz Competition held for Grades VI-VIII yesterday, was an exciting one! The familiar yet tricky questions posed to the participants ensured that everyone had their thinking caps on…

The quiz had a wide variety of well-thought out rounds such as ‘Current Affairs’, ‘Bowled Out’ (Sports), ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ (Music), ‘Abdul Kalam’ (Science) and ‘Cinematic’ (Movies) etc, ensuring that the students were tested on a range of trivia domains.

A lively and participant audience made the quiz a more engaging experience for all involved. All though some of the trickier questions were real head-scratchers, it was apparent to all that our student participants were not just well-informed and well-read, but also worldly-wise!

A HOUSE MEET WITH A TWIST!

There was healthy rivalry in the air as House Newton, Tesla, Galileo and Da Vinci met with their primary wing members as discussed their strategy for the Inter-House Tug of War competition! While the house-masters encouraged and motivated their houses to push themselves to victory, the students got ready to cheer on their house-mates.

The house-meet also saw each of the houses mark the International Day of Yoga. The house-masters made an effort to explain the significance of the day to the students, connecting it to their daily lives and the practicalities of imbibing it as a habit. The day was further observed with some impressive asanas and some much-needed meditation by the students who pledged to make Yoga a part of their lives.

Hard to hold on..harder to let go!

The Junior and Sr. Secondary students tugged away at the Inter-House Tug of War competition held on Saturday. Cheered on by their house-mates, with chants and high-fives, both the boys’ and the girls’ teams of each of the houses demonstrated true cooperation, team spirit and strength. Both the participants and spectators enjoyed the show as there was a good deal of liveliness and excitement in the air as each of the houses competed for the win. An afternoon-well spent, definitely.

WORD WIZARDS!

Our residential students put their thinking caps on for the inter-group Spelling Bee eventconducted for both the seniors and the juniors this Sunday! After two preliminary rounds to shortlist the participants, four students from each category took to the stage to rise up to the challenge!

The rounds were engaging and challenging in equal measure. From fun rounds such as ‘Get Jumbled’, ‘3 clues’, ‘Get Sportive’ & ‘Visualize’, both the participants and the active audience had a great time putting their grey cells to work. Nagbhushan of Grade VII, and Sri Havya of Grade XII, emerged the spelling-bee champions of their respective groups and were applauded for their quick thinking and flair for spelling!

Competition in the air!

The four houses- Newton, Galileo, Da Vinci and Tesla convened for the first time after the summer break to brainstorm their strategy for the Inter House Tug of War and Digital Designing competitions coming soon. The competition between the houses promises to be fierce this year!
