June 12 marks the observance of World Day against Child Labour. Our school has been part of this worldwide bid to create awareness to eradicate this social practice.
Continuing the discussion initiated by the talk given by Ms Muhuri & Ms Uma from CRY (Child Rights & You) last week, the special assembly in the secondary wing affirmed the message that each one of us can make a difference, by highlighting the plight of children around the world who are exploited and forced to work under inhumane conditions through a powerful skit and an emotional dance-drama performance set to the tune of ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The special assembly, led by Grade IX B, also explored the theme of the month ‘Inspiration’, connecting it to both Nature and Music.
