BRINGING CLAY TO LIFE! Claymation @ DRSIS

Session for Residential Students of Grade VIII-Claymation

Split over two sessions, the workshop on ‘claymation’ introduced residential students of Grade VIII to new ways of thinking about capturing motion. In the first session, the students explored the basic theoretical concepts underlying claymation, including the principles of incremental motion, stop motion and the ratio between frames and units of time. In the second session, the students tried their hands at creating their own claymation through modelling a sequence of pictures on the theme of the life cycle of a plant. The students are now in the process of putting finishing touches to their work.
