GRADE VI FIELD TRIP TO BIRLA PLANETARIUM AND SCIENCE MUSEUM

The Birla Planetarium and science museum is an Indian science museum located in Hyderabad, India. It comprises a planetarium, museum, science centre, art gallery as well as a dinosaurian. The museum itself was the second phase of the science centre when it was inaugurated in 1990.

Our grade VI students visited Birla Planetarium and science museum on 13th of February, 2017 as a part of educational field trip. They were exposed to Birla planetarium where they understood about stars and our solar system. Later they were shown a 3D short film on the underwater world which comprises different types of marine animals and their adaptations.

At the end they visited the Dinosaurian which was a kind of mini library about dinosaurs and their habitat along with a huge skeleton of a dinosaur.
