Eco-club students of DRS International School participated in “Conserve My Planet” Grand Finale on 15th December 2016, Thursday, at St. Peter’s Engineering college, Dulapally, to bring awareness among students about saving our mother Earth. The students participated in various activities based on the theme “conserve my planet”. DRSIS Won the prestigious “Green Championship” 2016. Our students competed with 18 other schools to win this award. It gives us immense pleasure to congratulate Adip, who mesmerized the judges with his presentation on ‘Fusion Energy’. Sreeshanth, Tanush, Pranav, and Swayam presented a variety of innovative models like solar charger, solar vacuum cleaner, solar wind mill, etc and impressed the panel members. Akhilesh was awarded “School Champion” because of his active participation in all the activities conducted in school as a part of this program. Rohan inspired by this program, started using solar panels at his home and surprisingly his electricity bills got decreased from 16000 to 250 rupees. Because of his thoughtful step, he was awarded the “Energy Star”. In conclusion, this achievement was made possible because of the active participation of the students and the staff coordinators Ms Guru Pyari and Ms Rekha.
As an IB World School that also offers the Cambridge CAIE and CBSE curriculum, we are one of the best international and residential schools in Hyderabad.
