Black-out: Alternative Poetry

‘’Ink runs from the corners of my mouth
there is no happiness like mine…’’

Radical form of poetry!

While Milton and Tennyson certainly have their merits, contemporary alternative poetry remains a largely formally unexplored territory in school curricula in India. Interesting things always happen when young adults put pen to paper in ground-breaking ways. Our residential students of grade XI were introduced to one such radical form of poetry- Newspaper Blackout Poems.
